About Chris, our founder:
Chris started “Lifesjourney” as a blog “to share my thoughts and feelings to help me make sense of life. I’ve had my ups and downs in life, either because of my decisions or simply because ‘life happens’. I have my family to thank for giving me the idea to blog in the first place, and for giving me fodder for my reflections.” – Chris
Lifesjourney Life Coaching, LLC, under the direction of Chris, has grown from its early blog days into the coaching, counseling and consulting group it is today. Chris is a nationally recognized speaker who is also published in medical and clinical journals. He is a nationally and state certified addiction counselor as well as a nationally certified life coach, graduating from the Washington Theological Union and St. Hyacinth College-Seminary.
Currently, Chris is the Director of campus ministry at a Catholic high school in Maryland and an adjunct professor in the Family Studies and Community Development department of the school of Liberal Arts at Towson University, as well as an adjunct professor in the M.S. in Counseling – Mental Health Counseling track at McDaniel College.
During his 23 year tenure in the addiction counseling field as a clinician and administrator he oversaw the implementation of treatment program modalities, integrating evidence-based treatments to promote lifelong recovery. Chris’ clinical experience is preceded by an almost decade-long pastoral ministry as a hospital chaplain in DC and a retreat leader in the New England region.
Chris serves as the chairperson for the St. Mary’s County Alcohol Coalition, a member of the Behavioral Health Action Committee of the St. Mary’s County Health Department, and sits on the advisory board for the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. He is the immediate past President of the Maryland affiliate of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) board of directors, served on the NAADAC Public Policy Committee and is the immediate past chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of Maryland (NCADD-MD).

Thank you for following my blog. I have just read this page and it has a lot of helpful information and learning to meditate is something I have been looking into. I am looking for more inner peace.

Most of us are looking for inner peace, that’s why I started the blog and my company, not just to help others, but myself as well. If you know a group or community that could benefit from message please let them know of what I do. I look forward to reading your posts.
